The OneCanvas Project is a large-scale public art project that utilizes the world’s top artists, influencers and change makers to draw attention to the Palestine region and the issue of water rights.
Bringing together art by creative and artistic luminaries, local and international artists and students will cover 40 water tanks in art, celebrating our most precious resource of all: fresh water.
The water tanks are a metaphor for freedom and development. Universal in value and meaning, the art developed for the water tanks will educate, enlighten and inspire individuals to collaborate beyond borders and nationality.
The OneCanvas Project's aim is three-fold. First, the project will use this setting to produce art works that will inspire. Second, the project will provide a platform to educate and alter habits associated with water consumption, ultimately creating a meaningful change on both fronts. And third, the project will help create the political will that results in policy changes to improve the lives of people on the ground.
The first water tanks are proposed to be in the new Palestinian city of Rawabi and the first modern Israeli city of Tel Aviv.
